Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking an experienced research administrator to lead pre- and post-award activities for sponsored programs within the Department Management & Strategic Oversight. You will oversee budgets, ensure compliance, review proposals in UFIRST, and coordinate with DSP, Contracts & Grants, and department leadership.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and four years of grant/contract administration experience, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with UFIRST,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical skills including program evaluation, financial forecasting, and interpreting complex data for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and provides strategic direction for management of all project budget preparation per agency and departmental guidelines.
• Oversees review of state contracts for accuracy of dates and dollar amounts.
• Oversees the coordination of grant proposal development and entry of proposals into UFIRST with required documentation.
• Serves as liaison between the department, DSP, and other core offices; supervises research administration staff; monitors sponsored project portfolios and provides analyses and projections.
• Maintains performance dashboards, tracks proposal volume and compliance, and coordinates regular check-ins with department leadership.
