Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s Renewables Feedstock Trading team seeks a commercially driven Trading Specialist in Findlay, OH. The role focuses on sourcing, trading, and optimizing renewable feedstocks while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

The candidate will engage in market analysis, develop logistics strategies, and support government and commercial objectives within MPC’s value chain. Strong communication and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Three+ years in Trading or Marketing with P&L responsibility for Product Trading, Scheduling (rail, truck, vessel, pipe).
• Senior role requires five+ years with P&L responsibility and scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across ST&O, VCO, Refining, MPLX to review market conditions and plans.
• Execute business development opportunities beyond core trading (storage, blending, freight).
• Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and partners.
• Prepare reports on market activities and supply/demand developments.
• Coordinate with Credit, Legal, Accounting to meet regulatory and contract needs.
• Participate in commercial dispute resolutions and negotiations.
• Support communications and position management with the Martinez Renewables JV.
• Develop expertise in feedstock logistics and freight solutions.
