Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a Commercial Risk analyst to perform daily financial analysis of MtM trading performance and support reporting for the Supply & Trading portfolio.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Refining Operations, schedulers and traders, validating data sources and maintaining regular analysis reports to ensure performance aligns with risk governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in analysis of financial results and reporting and/or experience in refinery or supply operations.
• Ability to use and create Power BI reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily financial analysis on system generated MtM trading performance and reports on the portfolio priced position and results.
• Collaborates with Accounting, Refining Operations, Schedulers and Traders to design and enhance processes for accurate position information.
• Validates inputs to MtM results for accuracy and consistency with policies, tests and validates new data sources.
• Develops and maintains analysis reports and performs special analyses for senior management.
• Supports design, development, and implementation of the Supply & Trading portfolio structure.
• Maintains weekly and monthly analysis reports.
• Supports the team on ad-hoc projects when appropriate.
