The role emphasizes regulator-ready documentation and collaboration with Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Legal, while maintaining independence and objectivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance testing, or risk management within financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage, or custody.
• Ability to independently execute audits end-to-end with regulator-ready documentation quality.
• Familiarity with AML/CFT, sanctions, and consumer protection requirements.
• Experience with data analytics (SQL) and coordinating with co-sourced resources.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end operational and compliance audits, including scoping, risk assessment, testing, and reporting.
• Own audit request tracking, open item management, and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify control gaps and draft risk-based recommendations with measurable impact.
• Lead audit reporting with concise, actionable summaries for senior leadership and regulators.
• Validate remediation of prior findings by reviewing evidence and closure sufficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Legal while maintaining independence.
