Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Internal Audit Senior Associate to execute risk-based audits across global operations, reporting to Internal Audit and partnering with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Legal to strengthen governance.

You'll own scoping, fieldwork, testing, and remediation validation, drive clear, regulator-ready findings, and help maintain Coinbase's trusted control environment while advancing a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance testing, or risk management within financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage, or custody.
• Regulatory compliance frameworks applicable to financial services operations (AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection).
• Regulator-ready documentation quality and end-to-end audit delivery.
• Data analytics and SQL familiarity; leveraging technology to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end operational and compliance audits from scoping to remediation validation.
• Own audit request tracking and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify control gaps and draft risk-based, actionable recommendations.
• Draft concise audit findings and issue write-ups for senior leadership and regulators.
• Validate remediation of prior findings and ensure closure.
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Legal while maintaining independence.
