Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Battle Mountain, NV, seeks a Superintendent of Reliability to lead a skilled maintenance team and drive safe, reliable mining operations. You will set priorities, coach teams, and partner with vendors to improve availability and metal recovery.

This role requires a BS in a technical field and 10+ years in fixed plant maintenance with 5+ years in leadership; SAP/CMMS and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years in fixed plant maintenance or reliability roles.
• 5+ years supervising people.
• BS in Metallurgy, Minerals/Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 5–10 years fixed plant maintenance experience.
• Milling/crushing/grinding/reliability-centered maintenance preferred.
• Mobile maintenance experience is a plus.
• SAP/CMMS and MS Office proficiency required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership aligned with NGM values.
• Improve availability, throughput and metal recovery.
• Identify defects and set reliability priorities.
• Coach team on statistical analysis of performance.
• Train on RCA, FMEA, and RCM with maintenance and operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standards and specifications.
• Partner with vendors/OEMs to drive equipment improvements.
• Maintain downtime reporting databases and KPI tracking.
• Scope and evaluate reliability improvement projects.
• Use maintenance system to record activities in CI.
• Drive continuous improvement in the maintenance culture.
