Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an experienced Underground Mobile Maintenance Superintendent for the Turquoise Ridge Underground Mine. You will lead safe maintenance of the underground mobile fleet, driving reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness while mentoring maintenance personnel.

Collaborating with Underground Operations, Engineering, Reliability and Supply Chain, you will translate asset strategy into disciplined daily execution and lead a high-performing team to sustain fleet

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, underground hard-rock mining
• Ability to manage maintenance planning, scheduling, budgets and contractor/OEM performance
• Experience leading supervisors and developing maintenance teams
• Strong knowledge of underground mine safety requirements
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in fleet performance

Responsibilities

• Champion safe work practices and MSHA compliance
• Lead maintenance supervisors and supporting personnel
• Own daily and weekly underground maintenance execution
• Plan and schedule work with planners and operations
• Lead weekly maintenance schedule lock-in and daily reviews
• Ensure CMMS work-order standards and accurate data
• Improve availability and reliability of underground fleet
• Use data to target chronic failures and reduce breakdowns
• Coordinate major repairs and OEM/contractor work
• Partner on parts strategy and asset life decisions
• Manage department labor, contractor, and materials costs
• Communicate performance via KPIs and take corrective action
• Build relationships with Underground Operations to align mine plan
