Job summary

Fortress is seeking a Release Manager to design, plan, and manage software releases across multiple Fortress applications within the Technology division. You will collaborate with software architects, project leaders, engineering and DevOps teams, and external customers to deliver high-quality security solutions at scale.

As Fortress expands to support five pods on the Fortress Platform, you will own a unified release process spanning planning through deployment, while working in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3+ years in release management or technical program management coordinating software deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interfacing with both internal and external clients.
• Understanding of common web application architectures and modern deployment practices (CI/CD).
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Self-directed problem solver who can drive decisions across teams without direct authority.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate planning, generate documentation, and analyze release risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional release projects through the full lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, QA, and DevOps to schedule and deploy releases.
• Establish and maintain a consistent release process across multiple applications, calendars, and readiness criteria.
• Lead Go/No-Go meetings to align dependent teams and business lines before each release.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks affecting timelines.
• Set and communicate release expectations and status to teams, stakeholders, and customers.
• Lead post-release reviews for continuous improvement of the release process.
