Job summary

VIATEQ Corporation in Washington, DC is seeking a Release/Environment Manager to coordinate enterprise release activities across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring low-risk deployments and reliable non-production environments.

This hybrid role requires ITIL 4 expertise, strong collaboration with application and infrastructure teams, and the ability to manage release calendars, runbooks, and CI/CD integrations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on release management, environment management, or IT operations in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and executing application releases in federal or comparable enterprise environments.
• Proven experience managing non-production application environments at enterprise scale.
• Experience coordinating release activities across multiple application and infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and release automation in enterprise contexts.
• Experience with ITIL 4 release and change management practices in formal ITSM environments.
• Experience using ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) for release and change management.
• Experience in federal or private-sector enterprise environments of comparable scale, complexity, and security posture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central coordinator for all application release activities across Client’s enterprise environment, maintaining a current release calendar.
• Lead release planning activities, including scoping, scheduling, dependency mapping, and risk assessment for all planned changes.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams on release planning and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain release plans, runbooks, and rollback procedures for all planned releases.
• Facilitate release readiness reviews to validate preparation, testing, and approval before production deployment.
• Maintain release records, calendars, and deployment documentation in the Government ITSM platform.
• Coordinate with Government COR and TPOC on release scheduling and approvals as directed.
