Job summary

ENSTAR Natural Gas Company in Anchorage seeks a Regulatory Financial Analyst to support the Rates and Regulatory team. You will provide financial and economic analysis, develop models for regulatory filings, and assist in forecasts used for gas cost adjustments.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a degree in accounting, and strong analytical skills. CPA/CMA candidates are preferred. A valid Alaska license is needed to operate a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting or related field.
• Three to five years of related work experience; auditing, utility, or regulatory experience preferred.
• CPA or CMA candidate preferred.
• Knowledge of tariffs and regulatory issues desirable.
• Valid Alaska driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle per ENSTAR policy.
• Ability to pass background, employment, credit, drug, and driving record screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and economic analysis to support strategic planning, rate design, and pricing options.
• Analyze information from accounting, billing, and data systems for regulatory needs.
• Update and develop complex models for regulatory filings and planning.
• Support annual gas sales, gas purchasing, and revenue forecasts for gas cost adjustments.
• Resolve inconsistencies among data sources and perform account inquiries.
• Prepare testimony and tariff filings with high-quality regulatory analysis.
• Monitor regulatory filings and matters of other Alaskan utilities.
• Support additional regulatory department tasks as needed.
