Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks a Case Specialist II to lead regulatory case filings and manage complex projects across multiple jurisdictions. You will drive preparation, coordination with internal teams, and communication with regulators to advance strategic positions. The role emphasizes project leadership, issue analysis, and high-quality filings.

You will support testimony, data requests, and filing packages while navigating schedules, travel, and overtime as needed within a leading energy company.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• A minimum of five years experience in regulatory field preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of existing and emerging competitive regulatory issues.
• Use of PC software such as Excel and Word as required.
• Periodic overnight travel, requires extensive overtime.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall project management of major regulatory cases, including evaluation, preparation, processing, and implementation of regulatory case filings.
• Must be able to set out Xcel Energy's positions on specific case issues.
• Coordinates internal and external communication, messaging and media plan development.
• Manage multiple large projects simultaneously and improve efficiency of filings.
• Direct interdisciplinary case teams to address issues and solve problems.
• Prepare regulatory testimony, exhibits, data requests, filing packages, and reports for filing with regulatory commissions.
