Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Director, Regulatory and Strategic Analysis to shape regulatory strategy and lead rate case filings across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. You will serve as a trusted liaison to state commissions, regulatory staff, and internal teams, aligning initiatives to support safe, reliable, affordable energy while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the energy industry with regulatory experience
• Strong knowledge of utility regulatory processes and rate cases
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Identify regulatory and legislative impacts on corporate positions across state jurisdictions
• Lead regulatory policy development and coordinate testimonies and filings
• Collaborate with senior management to shape regulatory and legislative strategy
• Represent Xcel as a witness at hearings and prepare supporting testimony
• Direct broader regulatory initiatives and ensure cross‑functional alignment
