Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. in Midlothian, TX seeks a Regional Procurement Manager to lead SPOT procurement for indirect materials, services, and all commodities. Partner with operations, finance, engineering and executive leadership to optimize total cost of ownership and support business growth.

The role focuses on strategy development, supplier partnerships, cost reduction, working capital improvement, and risk mitigation, with a 6-person team and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Business, Engineering or Economics.
• 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• ERP experience (SAP preferred)
• CPSM, CPM, or related certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead SPOT procurement operations for indirect materials, service, and all commodities
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier partnerships
• Drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, and supply continuity
• Manage contracts, supplier performance, quality, and risk mitigation
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team of 6
• Collaborate across departments to support operational and financial objectives
