General Matter is hiring a tenacious Business & Operations Recruiter to build high-caliber business and operational teams across G&A, People Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Facilities, and more. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and market mapping through screening, interview management, offer development, and closing.

This onsite role in Los Angeles requires the versatility to manage both high-volume hiring and specialized searches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for corporate, business, or operational functions.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience from intake to closing.
• Ability to manage multiple searches with varying complexity and volume.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to balance high-volume needs with specialized searches.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process for corporate and operational roles.
• Recruit across People Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Facilities, and more.
• Balance high-volume and specialized searches with tailored strategies.
• Partner with leaders to provide labor-market insights and define hiring profiles.
• Conduct initial interviews to assess capability, motivation, and cultural fit.
• Design sourcing strategies using outreach, referrals, market mapping, and events.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience reflecting General Matter’s mission.
• Track recruiting metrics to improve outcomes and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate applicant records to strengthen reporting and efficiency.
• Wear many hats: coordinate onsite interviews and support scalable recruiting infra.
