Job summary

The City of Indianapolis Marion County is seeking a Real Estate Program Manager to oversee the land bank and manage property security and maintenance on key redevelopment sites, while guiding compliance on project agreements.

You will manage Real Estate software, respond to public information requests, and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors. Regular site visits and on-site coordination are expected to ensure high-quality properties and timely responses to inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Public Administration, or related field with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Valid Indiana driver license required.
• Government experience is a plus.
• GIS and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage land bank program and oversee property security and maintenance on key redevelopment sites.
• Provide guidance to the compliance team on project agreement requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors for DMD-owned property.
• Prepare materials and set agendas for land bank review committee meetings.
• Maintain regular site visits and meetings at redevelopment sites.
• Respond to questions and maintenance requests to ensure properties are well maintained.
• Serve as emergency contact for Vacant to Vibrant land bank and other DMD-owned properties; may involve evenings or weekends.
• Assist with preparing real estate project agreements, quitclaim deeds, leases, licenses, rights-of-entry, etc.
• Support REBR Division with public information requests and inquiries.
• Evaluate repairs and maintenance with cost and timeline estimates for Real Estate projects.
• Recommend changes to pricing, policies, and procedures for DMD-owned properties.
• Manage land bank property management and real estate program web pages.
