Job summary

Onni in Chicago, IL invites an experienced Development Manager to lead large-scale real estate projects from concept through completion. You will coordinate consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design excellence, schedule adherence, and budget control.

You will conduct feasibility studies, market research, and financial analyses to gauge viability, negotiate entitlements with authorities, and drive approvals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in real estate development and project management.
• Experience with acquisition, entitlement, development and marketing.
• Experience managing consultants and large-scale multi-family or mixed-use developments.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale real estate development projects with internal staff and external consultants.
• Lead consultant teams coordinating building permits and development plans.
• Manage full project lifecycles including scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and financial analyses to evaluate project viability.
• Negotiate agreements, entitlements, and development plan approvals with local authorities.
• Direct permitting and regulatory approval processes.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and quality standards.
• Monitor construction progress and mitigate project risks.
• Partner with property management and marketing teams to support sales and leasing strategies.
• Stay current on land acquisition markets, local regulations, and market pricing trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including government agencies and communities.
• Prepare and present proposals, budgets, and progress reports to senior leadership.
• Perform additional duties as required.
