Job summary

Navigate Realty is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial and accounting functions across our growing real estate divisions and market locations.

You will lead month-end closes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, partnering with operations to drive profitability and efficiency. The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, trust accounting expertise, and a track record of improving processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting professional in real estate or property management is required.
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting, property management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial functions, accounting processes, and procedures across divisions and locations.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, projections, and financial reporting.
• Analyze ROI, gross margin, overhead, and operating margin; monitor key KPIs.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes on quarterly and annual cycles.
• Manage trust accounts and property management accounting procedures.
• Provide financial analysis to identify revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational improvements.
• Support salaries, commissions, inter-company transfers, and related accounting functions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, and deadlines.
• Lead and train accounts payable and bookkeeping staff; collaborate with third-party specialists.
• Evaluate and improve accounting and ERP integrations to support operations.
