HireIQ, a family-owned New York City real estate developer, owner and manager, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations and manage a 10-person accounting team. The role emphasizes financing, refinancing, and shaping the capital strategy for the portfolio.

Working directly with the CEO and family ownership, the CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting, while managing lender relationships and risk.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting and controllership within real estate.
• Hands-on accounting with residential and commercial properties.
• Experience leading real estate financing/refinancing and lender management.
• CPA or MBA qualification; strong financial modelling and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financing and refinancing activities across the portfolio.
• Manage lender relationships, debt maturities, and covenants.
• Partner with CEO on financial strategy, capital allocation, and planning.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
• Assess property-level performance and ROI improvements.
• Mentor a 10-person accounting team.
• Oversee tax planning, audits, and external advisers.
• Manage financial risk, controls, and regulatory compliance with legal.
• Oversee financial systems including Yardi Voyager and related IT controls.
• Support assessment of selective new opportunities.
