Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking a Category Manager, Raw Materials Procurement to develop and execute sourcing strategies for a $50–$70 million annual spend across the U.S. and Europe. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Finance to drive strategy, savings, and value creation.

The role requires a self-starter who can influence stakeholders, manage supplier performance, and strengthen supply continuity and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience and at least 3 years of project management experience.
• MBA and/or CPM certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of direct category management; food ingredients or chemicals industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own category strategies for raw materials with $50–$70 million annual spend across US/Europe.
• Develop multi-year cost-competitive strategies and assess risks.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management.
• Build should-cost models and track procurement KPIs.
