Job summary

Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Raw Materials Procurement Specialist to oversee end-to-end purchasing and inventory for bulk chemicals and feedstocks. You will partner with plant operations to maintain material flow, ensure supply continuity, and uphold quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include PO management, supplier negotiations, and logistics coordination, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, SCM, or related field.
• 5+ years’ industrial procurement or raw material buying experience.
• Experience in regulated production environments (GMP/HACCP).
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and invoicing systems; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders, forecasting, and replenishment of bulk raw materials and process chemicals to balance production and working capital.
• Support commercial negotiations, draft supplier purchase agreements, and ensure vendor compliance with SLAs.
• Serve as procurement liaison with production to monitor consumption and prevent downtime.
• Coordinate inbound logistics and verify invoicing; assist monthly/annual closeouts.
• Assist in budgeting and drive cost-avoidance/cost-reduction initiatives.
• Represent procurement in daily standups, safety briefings, and scheduling sessions.
• Champion EHS, GMP, and HACCP compliance across the facility.
