Job summary

Twilio is hiring a Principal, R&D Strategy & Operations to drive strategic initiatives across R&D and lead executive communications for Product and Engineering. You will report to the Director and transform complex technical work into clear executive narratives and drive planning cycles across the org.

As a leader, you will partner with CPTO and the executive team to manage monthly/quarterly reviews, board updates, and cross-functional updates, delivering lean processes with minimal manual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 10+ years across product, engineering and process/program management.
• Experience in a leadership capacity or influencing across teams.
• Experience leading programs or product operations for B2B SaaS/PaaS.
• Track record delivering cross-functional programs end to end.
• Strong executive communication that distills complex detail.
• Ability to build trust across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Own the narrative for R&D across reviews, board updates and exec communications.
• Lead strategic projects top of mind for CPTO and the exec team.
• Collaborate on annual/quarterly planning and retrospectives.
• Track progress through Release Council and surface risks early.
• Shape R&D communication to GTM teams to inform planning cycles.
• Drive lean R&D processes to reduce manual overhead.
• Automate product and business metrics with Finance/Data teams.
• Identify change management opportunities to improve adoption.
