Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Change Readiness Director within our SP&O organization in New Jersey. Lead change strategy, communications, stakeholder engagement and measurement across R&D. Bring 10+ years in change management in pharma contexts.

You will guide cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, align with Credo and leadership imperatives, and oversee program delivery and adoption of transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or communications, with a focus on operating model, culture and technology transformations.
• Experience in leading teams and external partners
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Experience working inside a pharma R&D organization preferred.
• Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Change Readiness Strategy Development: Creates and implements change strategies and plans that align with organizational and program objectives, addressing anticipated impacts on stakeholders and devising strategic initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.
• Communications Strategy & Execution: Crafts and implements communications frameworks and plans to engage employees at all levels, delivering the right message to the right audience at the right time.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: Identify and engage key stakeholders to gain buy-in and support across all levels of the R&D organization.
• Establish readiness & Measurement Strategies: Develop and implement metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of change programs and overall impact on R&D performance.
• Change Impact Identification and Needs Assessment: Identify significant changes resulting from R&D imperatives to drive implementation and engagement strategies.
• Monitoring and Evaluation of Change Initiatives: Track metrics and regularly report progress with opportunities for improvement.
• Leading Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with senior global stakeholders to align change efforts with strategic goals.
• Cultural Transformation: Model Courage & Care culture and embed new ways of working in a large matrix organization.
• Program Management: Oversee development, delivery, and evaluation of change programs across functions (preclinical, clinical, regulatory, operations).
