Job summary

Bodycote plc is seeking a Commercial Analyst to prepare quotations for plant operations, working with sales, customer service, operations, and legal to develop accurate quotes and contracts. The role emphasizes cost modeling, margin targets, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer expectations.

The position requires a 4-year degree in Finance, Sales & Marketing, Metallurgy/Material Science or equivalent, plus 1–3 years of quoting or analytics experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires ITAR compliance; US citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
• A 4-year college degree in Finance, Sales & Marketing, Metallurgy/Material Science or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 1–3 years of quoting, pricing, costing, or business analytics experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with management levels and plant personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce/CRM experience preferred.
• Solid math and algebra skills; ability to work with English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations across relevant business units under guidance from Senior Commercial Manager and team.
• Develop pricing using established costing standards, margins, and market knowledge.
• Use Salesforce for quote tracking with accurate data entry.
• Collaborate with Commercial team, sales, operations, and customer service to price processes.
• Assist with quote revisions as directed by Commercial Operations Manager.
• Analyze pricing, quotes, and business strategy with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and present meaningful metrics to sales and management on a regular basis.
