4 State Trucks in Joplin, MO is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to negotiate with vendors, place orders, and support the Purchasing Manager. You will purchase products for resale, track usage in inventory systems, and seek the best costing and vendor programming.

Responsibilities include confirming costs on orders, tracking backorders, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and building strong relationships with vendors for pricing and service.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year purchasing work experience preferred, in retail or warehousing.
• Automotive/commercial vehicle parts experience a plus.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Purchases products for resale using inventory systems to track usage and quantities needed.
• Negotiate for best costing and programming on behalf of the company.
• Confirm costs on purchase orders and ensure correct amounts charged.
• Track backorders and secure alternate vendors to fill voids as needed.
• Find viable solutions for stock outs, extended ETAs, and supply continuity through all sourcing channels.
• Manage stocking levels for assigned vendors and schedule inbound/outbound shipments.
• Create purchase orders and follow up on dropship orders with vendors.
• Build relationships with vendors for preferred costing, supply, and service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
