Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Allentown, PA, seeks a seasoned purchasing professional to lead materials management, drive cost savings and improve supplier performance in a healthcare setting.

The role partners with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to optimize contracts, pricing and procurement processes while ensuring high standards of service, accuracy and fiscal accountability. Hybrid remote work may be available after training for local PA/NJ candidates, with two on-site days

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or 7-10 years in healthcare purchasing.
• Experience in Purchasing or Materials Management preferred; clinical background is a plus.
• Must be accurate with figures; management experience required; Excel/Access proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitors compliance with goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the department with assigned personnel.
• Completes annual performance evaluations of service line personnel.
• Collaborates with the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting for cost savings opportunities via Premier and local contracts.
• Works with department managers to improve purchasing processes and customer service.
• Works with vendors on new product requests, contracts, negotiations and bids.
• Monitors contract pricing in the Materials Management system for accuracy.
• Provides guidance for Value Analysis team and departments on fiscal responsibility.
• Interacts with department managers, Inventory Control and vendors on product conversions.
