Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks a proactive procurement professional responsible for purchasing material, equipment and supplies, ensuring cost, quality and timely delivery in line with system guidelines.

In this role you will analyze current purchases against contracts, pursue cost-saving opportunities, negotiate terms, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support NLCR initiatives and effective supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business, accounting or finance is required.
• 3 years of relevant purchasing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of vendor communities and contract terms is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepares purchase orders for high-dollar items, analyzes quotations, expedites deliveries.
• Interviews vendors, secures bids, negotiates costs and terms; processes agreements for VP signature.
• Monitors open purchase orders, ensures on-time delivery, and reconciles invoices.
• Performs cost/benefit analyses and identifies NLCR savings opportunities.
• Collaborates with AP and internal teams on budgets and procurement processes.
