Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Purchasing Agent to help ensure timely procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services for our manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Production Scheduling, Sourcing, and suppliers to maintain cost-effective, high-quality supply chain performance, managing SAP purchase orders and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
• 2-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders and procurement records in SAP.
• Procure goods and services to meet internal/external sales order expectations.
• Prepare and execute purchase orders in SAP.
• Follow up on delivery schedules with key suppliers.
• Maintain purchasing data and set stocking levels to control costs.
• Escalate issues with delivery of goods and services to appropriate departments.
