Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support manufacturing operations in Omaha, NE or Harlan, IA. You will manage purchase orders in SAP and monitor supplier delivery, expediting critical shipments and maintaining records to keep production running smoothly.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Scheduling, ensuring timely material delivery while addressing supplier issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of purchasing experience or related procurement roles.
• Experience thriving in a fast-paced, structured environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks quickly.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, components, equipment, and outsourced services for manufacturing operations.
• Create and manage purchase orders in SAP and monitor supplier delivery schedules.
• Expedite critical shipments and maintain purchasing records and inventory data.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Scheduling to ensure on-time material delivery.
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
