Job summary

Cher Co in Houston is seeking a purchasing professional to manage procurement of components for natural gas compressor packages. You will research products, compare prices, assess supplier quality, solicit bids, and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.

This role partners with Finance and Operations to cost AFEs and work orders, forecast inventory, administer vendor contracts, and renewals, aligning procurement with project requirements and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Researching products and comparing prices
• Assessing the quality and reliability of potential suppliers
• Soliciting bids from potential suppliers
• Tracking purchases and shipments
• Reviewing requisition forms, including the vendor, dates of approval and product quantity
• Work with F&A and Operations to cost AFE's and work orders; track AFE spend, reconcile AFE at project close
• Forecasting inventory requirements
• Administering vendor contracts, including drafting and following up on those needing renewal

Job description

Responsible for purchasing of components and parts of Natural Gas Compressor packages. Primary focus on CAT engines, Ariel compressors available from industry suppliers.
