Job summary

ELGi Compressors USA, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support operations by fulfilling parts orders, preparing quotes for parts and accessories, coordinating shipping/receiving, and managing inventory.

You will plan and enter POs via MRP, nurture supplier relationships, and help implement procurement procedures for efficiency gains. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in business or supply chain, 2+ years in procurement, and strong Excel skills, with experience in Infor ERP LN or

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field.
2+ years in procurement/buying, ideally in industrial/warehouse settings.
Experience with manufacturing or industrial supply chain.
Strong vendor relationship management and inquiry support (lead times, ship dates, availability).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
Experience with Infor ERP LN or SAP ERP systems.
Experience entering and processing a high volume of purchase orders.

Responsibilities

Plan, create, and enter purchase orders via MRP and warehousing processes.
Manage vendor relationships and liaise between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Formalize procurement procedures for continuous process improvement.
Research and vet vendors/parts; advise on cost and quality alternatives.
Negotiate costs and ensure spending aligns with organizational goals.
Own inventory processes, including cycle counts and ERP pricing accuracy.
Assist in shipping/receiving tasks as needed and coordinate communication with internal teams.
