Southern Fasteners & Supply, a subsidiary of Supply Technologies, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist/Agent to join our team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on coordinating purchasing activities, creating POs, resolving delivery and vendor issues, and maintaining cost control and inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills are critical.
• Demonstrated success in identifying, understanding, aligning, delivering and following up with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities in the purchasing process.
• Create and process purchase orders.
• Use problem solving skills to work and resolve delivery and vendor issues.
• Strong cost negotiating ability and inventory control knowledge are a must.
• Weekly purchase reporting.
