Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial is hiring a Purchasing Specialist to support Data Center infrastructure solutions. The role focuses on PO creation, timely goods receipt, and supplier communications, enabling lean operations and cost efficiency.

The candidate will work within SLB's supply chain, collaborating with planning, production, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to supplier contracts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred, or equivalent minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supply chain specialist role.
• Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
• Exhibit problem solving skills.
• Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean / Six Sigma.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares purchase orders (POs) within the system as directed by the facility's supply chain management.
• Ensure POs are created before commitment, and goods receipt (GR) is performed within 3 days of material or service delivery.
• Tracks the acknowledgement of the order by the supplier.
• Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders, with appropriate supporting documents, to the supplier.
• Participate in planning reviews and alignment of operations with planning and production teams.
