Job summary

Globalsoft Talent Solutions in Snow Hill, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage all purchasing activities and support production scheduling. The role focuses on supplier management, cost negotiation, and timely material procurement to sustain operations.

You will run MRP reports daily, negotiate terms and pricing, and collaborate with accounting on non-inventory purchases. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for success in this team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Desire to grow and take on new responsibilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Google Drive/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Run daily MRP reports and purchase materials in support of production schedule for all purchasing parts other than Outside Processing and Supporting Components per procedure.
• Manage your suppliers to assure on time delivery and consistent quality.
• Negotiate with your suppliers to ensure optimal pricing.
• Negotiate Terms with your suppliers.
• Source and certify new suppliers with the assistance of the Procurement Agent.
• Expedite delayed orders.
• Resolve issues related to inventory returns, and replacements.
• Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
• Purchasing requisition items per procedure.
• Work with accounting to correctly use accurate general ledger accounts for non-inventory purchases.
• Keeps department reports updated.
• Other duties as required.
