Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is seeking a Purchasing coordinator to manage the buying of goods and services across all operations. You will review requisitions, source suppliers, negotiate terms, and record RFPs while ensuring cost effectiveness and quality.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and mathematical skills, with experience in purchasing systems and MS Office. On-site position with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two- to five-years purchasing or related experience.
• Stratten Warren System experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and analyze financial reports and procurement documents.
• Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, prioritization and analytical skills.
• Time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the buying of goods and services for all operations.
• Review requisitions and confer with vendors to obtain product or service information.
• Solicit quotations, negotiate service contracts, prices, terms, delivery, quality, and service.
• Create, facilitate, and record RFPs according to priority and schedule.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, availability, reliability and selection of materials and services.
• Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of materials and sources of supply.
• Oversee multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
• Provide guidance to departments regarding procurement; suggest cost-saving alternatives.
• Follow market trends and attend trade shows for new offerings.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier community; attend meetings and product reviews.
• Ensure Inventory Purchasing System is maintained and data is current.
• Interface with Accounts Payable for end-to-end procure-to-pay.
