Job summary

ARAUCO North America, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage procurement activities and supplier relationships in a hybrid onsite role. You will place orders under authority, source under national contracts when available, and develop detailed SOWs with price data.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business or supply chain, 3–5 years of related experience, and strong negotiation, data entry, and cross-functional collaboration skills. SAP experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain management or three to five years related experience.
• Ability to deal effectively with staff, suppliers, and cross functional teams to complete responsibilities.
• Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Purchasing and Contracting Policies and Procedures.
• Place Purchase Orders within scope of authority against national contracts where possible.
• Develop requirements and specifications (R&S) and SOW with supplier data and pricing information.
• Administer contracts, establish supplier relationships, modify/expedite as needed.
• Provide value by sourcing better products, sources of supply, and improving processes.
• Attend maintenance and operations planning meetings for early purchasing involvement.
• Assist storeroom managers with procurement of stocked and non-stocked items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
