Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 6–12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, or related in manufacturing/machinery.
• Strong strategic thinking with data-driven decision making.
• Solid understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with procurement systems and SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong cost management and supply chain risk management skills.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies for complex commodities.
• Knowledge of contract management and negotiating long-term contracts.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a global matrix organization and travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Commodity Circles within the assigned area with cross-functional teams.
• Manage assigned commodities and develop ecosystem strategies.
• Ensure visibility into cost structures and spending for materials.
• Create and implement sourcing initiatives and procurement strategies.
• Increase managed spend through strategic supplier awarding.
• Maintain a competitive supplier base and manage relationships.
• Conduct strategic procurement activities including negotiations and sourcing.
• Prepare, negotiate, and maintain frame contracts and pricing agreements.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and track procurement KPIs.
• Drive supplier involvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
• Provide market intelligence and supplier insights to stakeholders.
• Manage supplier qualification, evaluation, development, and performance.
