Job summary

Horner Industrial Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Operations Support professional to join our team. This role supports daily purchasing activities, inventory management, quotes, orders, and coordination with internal and external customers to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical or mechanical technologies or equivalent work history.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, purchasing, or sales.
• Experience with Electric Motors, Controls, and VFDs preferred.
• Willingness to travel to Indianapolis Headquarters for training and locally in Louisville.

Responsibilities

• Write shop repair quotes, orders, and vendor purchase orders.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Pre-audit invoicing before closing shop jobs and product orders.
• Assist in scheduling and arranging transport of goods and materials.
• Manage inventory levels and shipping/receiving.
• Provide customer support including order status and changes.
• Determine price and availability via vendor portals.
• Collaborate with customers, outside sales and accounting to open/reestablish accounts.
• Participate in sales meetings and partner with outside sales.
• Prepare reports as requested by management.
