Job summary

Custom Building Products, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager for our Bell, CA facility. The role covers raw materials and finished goods procurement, supplier coordination, and cost optimization across Western Region plants.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain in manufacturing, a 4-year degree in a related field, and familiarity with JD Edwards and Excel. Competitive benefits and a discretionary bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain in manufacturing.
• 4-year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Experience buying powders, liquids, raw materials and chemicals preferred.
• Experience managing inventory for multiple locations is helpful.
• CPIM/APICS/CPM background or certification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing requirements.
• Manage long lead time raw materials from US and overseas suppliers for multiple plants.
• Coordinate major procurement and optimize inbound freight and vendor payments.
• Review usage changes and adjust reorder points and quantities as needed.
• Perform semi-annual standard cost updates and supplier performance reviews.
• Support New Production Launches with raw materials and packaging.
