Job summary

Custom Building Products, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage raw materials and finished goods purchases across Western region. Responsibilities include placing orders, coordinating with suppliers (US and overseas), and optimizing inbound logistics.

The role requires strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems. Location may be Stockton, CA or Las Vegas, NV, based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain.
• 4-year degree in Business / Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience buying raw materials, chemicals preferred.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards or similar ERP software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for raw materials to support manufacturing requirements.
• Manage long lead time raw materials from US and overseas suppliers.
• Coordinate purchases through Central Traffic Dept to optimize inbound deliveries.
• Review inventory levels and place orders for Finished Goods for Western US plants.
• Resolve receipt and payment issues with Receiving and Accounts Payable.
