LTS in West Caldwell, NJ is hiring a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing team in a regulated manufacturing setting. The role focuses on supplier management, cost improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid work environment.

You will supervise purchasing activities, ensure GMP compliance, negotiate contracts, and drive cost-saving initiatives while coordinating with Finance and Supply Chain partners. The position requires strong SAP experience and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of purchasing experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and freight operations, including transportation and related supply chain processes.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred; proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing team and execute purchasing activities in an SAP environment.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA, DEA, LTS Purchasing Policy, and applicable GMP SOP requirements.
• Analyze SAP exception messages and take action to maintain continuity of supply for procured materials.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with local suppliers.
• Coordinate deliveries with brokers, carriers, and suppliers; monitor shipping costs and tariff codes.
• Review safety stock levels and system ordering strategies for raw materials.
• Partner with Supplier Quality on quality events, supplier claims, investigations, and closure activities.
• Generate, analyze, and communicate monthly supplier KPIs.
• Work with Finance to resolve invoice and customs issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and track cost-saving and cost-reduction strategies.
• Provide quarterly forecasts to key domestic suppliers and collaborate with North America Sourcing and Global Procurement.
