Job summary

LTS is seeking a Cost Analyst for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing to support financial decision-making across manufacturing, operations, and projects. The role will analyze costs, investigate variances, and help improve profitability from its West Caldwell, NJ location.

The position is hybrid, based in West Caldwell, NJ, and requires 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting, with SAP S/4HANA proficiency and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting, finance, or cost analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years' experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain detailed cost analyses and cost models to support product and service quoting.
• Analyze actual expenses against targets, plans, and forecasts; identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Investigate manufacturing order variances, scrap, project hours, and expense variances.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and project cost estimates.
• Identify and support cost-saving strategies to improve efficiency and margins.
• Prepare reports and present analysis and insights to management.
• Monitor inventory, labor costs, indirect expenses, and trends to support business decisions.

Cost Analyst- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing; North America

Position Overview

LTS is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to support financial decision-making across manufacturing, operations, projects, and administrative functions. In this role, you will analyze costs, investigate variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that help improve efficiency and profitability.

This position is based in West Caldwell, NJand is hybrid eligibleafter the introductory period is complete; up to 2 days/week.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

What You Will Do:

• Generate and maintain detailed actual cost analyses and cost models to support product and service quoting.
• Analyze actual expenses against targets, plans, and forecasts; identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Investigate manufacturing order variances, scrap, project hours, and expense variances.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and project cost estimates.
• Identify and support cost-saving strategies to improve efficiency and margins.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, finance, or cost analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years' experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a GMP-regulated environment
• Experience supporting manufacturing or operational finance in a complex business environment
