Job summary

Socket.dev in Buena, NJ is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities at our manufacturing site. You will ensure reliable, cost-effective material availability, collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance, and drive continuous improvements in supplier performance and inventory control.

The role focuses on developing a strong supplier network, negotiating pricing, and mitigating supply chain risks to support

Qualifications

At least five years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience in plastics injection molding, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
Familiarity with supplier qualification, inventory management, and production planning.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, CPM, or APP are a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead purchasing, supplier management, and procurement activities to meet production needs.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage agreements.
Monitor supplier performance, drive cost reduction, and mitigate supply chain risk.
Coordinate with Production, Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support plans.
