Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Director of Sourcing in New York to own global sourcing, manufacturing, supplier management, and product costing across the physical product portfolio. You will lead from concept through sampling, production, and QA, partnering with Product Development, Creative, and Finance to achieve target margins.

The role emphasizes front-half supply chain leadership, aggressive timelines, and building scalable supplier networks across multiple categories.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sourcing, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Experience with domestic and international manufacturers.
• Proven cost and supplier negotiations with measurable savings.
• Strong understanding of product development to production.
• Familiarity with collectibles or consumer goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own global sourcing and manufacturing strategy across product portfolio.
• Translate concepts into executable manufacturing plans and select processes.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, sampling and production negotiations.
• Develop resilient supplier networks and nearshoring strategies.
• Partner with Product Development and Creative on cost and timing.
• Establish QA/QC standards and manage production timelines.
