Job summary

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking a Purchasing Manager who will manage material planning, purchasing, and warehousing to sustain build plans and on-time delivery. You will lead 4–6 buyers and expeditors and partner with finance and engineering to optimize inventory and supplier performance.

Starting wage is $85,000 to $100,000 per year with a discretionary annual bonus up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (preferred).
• 5+ years related experience (manufacturing, supply chain, inventory management).
• 3+ years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material planning and purchasing to maximize machine build plan and keep the plant running.
• Manage systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, material control, and scheduling.
• Supervise purchasing organization to meet supplier on-time delivery and schedule adherence.
• Develop supplier strategies to ensure delivery, quality and supply flow of materials.
• Adjust MRP and reorder points to accommodate forecast changes and business growth.
• Maintain safety stocks, lead times, and buffers to prevent stockouts.
