Job summary

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor at our Grand Rapids, MN site.

You will establish cycle count plans, analyze discrepancies, and implement improvements across materials, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and finance. The role requires experience in manufacturing, inventory management, and ERP systems, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associates degree preferred or equivalent to 3+ years of related experience.
• Lean manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in MS Word and Excel.
• 1 year experience with JIT/LEAN/Single Piece Flow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cycle counters.
• Assure departmental compliance with Yanmar policy.
• Complete planned cycle counts.
• Make adjustments to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Update cycle count templates & reporting requirements.
• Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Lead inventory accuracy improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot issues and develop corrective actions.
• Define and implement inventory control processes.
• Schedule and facilitate cross-department meetings.
• Support end-of-month reporting and audits.
