Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring for an onsite Purchasing Leader in Los Angeles to ensure the right products are available when needed. You will collaborate with a centralized purchasing team, manage local suppliers for dairy, produce, and other items, and optimize inventory and forecast accuracy to improve fill rates and income.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a related field, has 5+ years in buying/procurement, 2+ years in supplier management, and strong Excel/PowerBI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field is required.
• 5+ years of combined buying, inventory management, sales, procurement, or category management experience.
• 2+ years with supplier management, negotiating or vendor management.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities between Core-Mark OpCos and PFG OpCos to meet OpCo needs.
• Manage forecasting and inventory levels to achieve targeted fill rates.
• Negotiate merchandising income opportunities with suppliers and manage promotions/allowances.
• Track and improve spoils risk, communicate KPIs to stakeholders, and support marketing initiatives.
