Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking an experienced purchasing leader to optimize local supplier inventories for dairy, produce, and food items across Los Angeles operations.

You will partner with the centralized purchasing team, manage supplier relationships, forecast demand, and drive improvements in fill rates and earnings.

The role requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, SAP/AS400 experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Ops, Marketing, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of buying, inventory, procurement or related experience.
• 2+ years supplier management experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Power BI; SAP/AS400 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and maintain inventory to meet targeted fill rates.
• Manage inner house and DCIS processes between Core-Mark OpCos.
• Act as the buyer of record for purchasing activities between OpCos.
• Monitor purchasing aspects of PFG Food Service programs for OpCos.
• Review SKU rationalization quarterly.
• Create returns for regulated suppliers in SAP OpCos.
• Negotiate income opportunities and manage promotions with vendors.
• Assist with marketing initiatives and trade shows as needed.
• Ensure audit of deductions and supplier compliance.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
