Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Purchasing Manager to drive location-based purchasing, ensuring quality and efficiency while supporting the company’s financial position. The role requires leadership to align with organizational priorities and optimize procurement processes.

Responsibilities include vendor communication, inventory accuracy, pricing negotiation, and timely delivery. Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic is valued, with preferred associates degree and relevant purchasing

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Three years related experience in the field.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, food, beverage and printing products.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ordering systems.
• Knowledge of inventory trends with focus on operations.
• P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable.
• Accurate data-entry skills and detailed organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of school nutrition/food industry and/or purchasing preferred.
• Experience with computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email and Internet.
• Serv Safe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with key team and management associates relative to purchases.
• Ensures weekly inventory is correct with no errors before submission.
• Negotiates pricing and purchases goods and ensures on-time delivery.
• Reviews shipments to ensure products received match orders.
• Prepares and compiles monthly reports.
• Works with Excel and Visual Basic to manage inventory.
