Job summary

Hakes Brothers seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing function for multiple residential communities. You will coordinate quantity takeoffs, material lists, and contract budgets while driving cost-effective procurement and value engineering.

You will monitor variances, manage vendor relationships, and mentor staff to uphold quality, service, and on-time project delivery across subdivisions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years directly relevant purchasing experience.
• Must own or have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing team to provide accurate quantity takeoffs, material lists, and contract budgets for new plans and subdivision costs.
• Establish processes and systems to achieve business goals and cost reduction targets.
• Source vendors based on quality, cost, and service; procure contracts and materials at the lowest reasonable price.
• Manage variance reporting and cost tracking with Purchasing Agents and Estimators.
• Oversee purchase orders, vendor documentation, and monthly/quarterly cost targets.
