Job summary

Stanley Martin Homes, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee contracting and purchasing for residential production, manage budgets, finalize contracts, and maintain master agreements while negotiating pricing with trade partners.

You will coordinate bids, market-test costs, update ERP systems, address material shortages, and lead cross-functional meetings with Land, Production, Sales, and Back Office to keep the division on track.

Qualifications

• Must have Purchasing Manager or residential construction experience.
• Proven project management experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking with problem-solving ability.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracting and purchasing to support home production.
• Manage budgets, finalize contracts, and maintain master agreements.
• Negotiate pricing with trade partners to drive cost savings.
• Coordinate bids, market-test costs, and update ERP systems.
• Address material shortages and revise work orders as needed.
• Facilitate key meetings with Neighborhood Specification and Final Neighborhood Start.
• Collaborate with Land, Production, Sales and Back Office to keep the division effective.
